I have red hair, and I'm going to the North East today... see y'all in a month! ish. Should I tell you about my past week? Okay. So I had like 4 "last days of school" :s which was really confusing and sad.. here's some photos...

Ohh, last night, I went out with my exchangies to a pizzaria! All you can eat. I lost count of how many pieces I had... but it was a disgusting amount.. let me tell you that..

Yup, quote from I don't remember who. They said that and then said something about it's a toilet because it rains all the time. They are certainly right. I think it's only not been raining one of the times I've been there... maybe.. I dunno. Point is, I was there yesterday with my host family and it was raining. We went to the shopping center for lunch and then went and some shopping! My host mum bought me a skirt and a pair of shorts :D:D (guess what mum, the shorts are white, hahahaha!!!!) Thennn, we were going to watch Saw in 3D but didn't for some reason I don't recall.... hmmm, oh yeah, Bia and I went on those cool jumpy things, ya know, with the harness and bungee cords.. was fun :)

um, so.. I wrote this like 2 days ago... but forgot to post... my bad. Here it is now :|

So I thought I had all next week at school... apparently not :| Only one day of activities and stuff on Tuesday.. Pretty much just graduated from Brasilian high school! YEEEA!

On Saturday.

I washed salad for 4 hours.

On Sunday I washed plates for who knows how long.

Then I washed knives and forks.

Then I put them in napkins.

Moral of the story: preparing stuff for 500ish people isn't fun..

No but really..

I haven't done much bloggggage for a while.. so maybe I should catch up now... maybe.. I'll start off.. where.. oh my! mmm, lets say last.. Friday? I think. Wait, it was Thursday. Alicia came over and we went to Shutzenfest with Emma, Annika, Bia and my host rents. We danced to German music, ate potato, Alicia lost her phone, Annika and I dressed like Bavarian Germans - though she is already German.. watched some fire works... mm, it was pretty alright :)

Then on Friday we went to a fantasy dress up party at london pub...

When we got there we met up with Philipp, Dominik, Apenti, Honda annnnd probably a whole lot of other people.. It was fun! The funniest part was on the way home though probably.. hahaha, there was all these people in costumes walking around the streets are like 4am.. then we went past a group of nuns... guy nuns.. SO FUNNY! -start laughing.. maybe you had to be there..

Saturday.. hmm.. I have no idea what happened during the day.. but. OH WAIT! I don't know if this was Saturday or Friday... hmm I think it was Friday, anyway, all the exchangers from Jaragua went to a meeting at Philipp's house about how we felt about exchange and I dunno, it was so weird and frustrating.. doesn't matter.. EVENTUALLY got Alicia to the bus stop... ha. I rode to Emma's house to get Alicia's bags that we'd left there from the night before...

Saturday night we threw Naija a surprise party for her birthday that was on Sunday (10.10.10 = coolest birthday ever!) so once again all the exchangers were together (except Annika cause she went to SAO PAULO!!!)

Sunday.... hrmmmm... oh, my host parents had gone to Laguna so Bia and I were staying with her Auntie.. she has THE most beautiful apartment you've ever seen.. WOW! And windows that open and close with a button?!!

Monday.. hmm.. didn't have school because it was a holiday.. sooo, Bia and I went back home from her Aunties to clean everything up, but when we got home the mess was all gone! Crazy! Thennn, Tiago (Bia's boyfriend) and Everton came over for a while.. chilled then at night Emma and I went to Jump.. wearing sneakers and headbands.. THAT'S RIGHT!

you can't see our shoes here.. but whatever.. it was so funny, this guy came up to us and asked in english "where are you girls from?" and we obviously said America and Australia, and they guy was like "I knew it!" so we asked how blah blah blah.. turns out he lives in Sydney, but was just in Brasil to visit his family for a few weeks.. weird! Then ANOTHER guy, comes up and he's like "You two look foreign." Hahaha, I'm so glad we dressed the way we did. Foreigners rock! :D

Tuesday... No school again because of the "Dia Das Criancas" - Day of the kids... or something. WHY DOESN'T AUSTRALIA HAVE THAT?!

Wednesday.. Thursday.. mmm.. school I guess, I doubt I did anything interesting :/

Friday was cool though! We went to a school in a different part of Jaragua, a public school! And played games with kids for a few hours.. Photos coming soon, I guess. Emma and I did jump rope.. ha!

So we were pretty worn out.. wanting to go during the night.. Emma's 18th was the next day so she REALLY wanted to go out but we couldn't decide... (well we could but we didn't tell her that;)) TURNS OUT, we were throwing her a surprise party :D heh! We skyped her family too, saw a whole heap of American food, and her dog :P then got distracted for atleast an hour I reckon, taking photos on her computer haha.

They were all pretty terrible.. because we were making faces.. but here's a good one :) just Honda isn't in it D:

So we stayed up until it was 12:05 - truuuely 18! and then scattered! Off the Blumenau for the weekend on Saturday morning.. 9:30.. so we arrive, I FINALLY meet all the new exchangers and thennn wait for our host families to pick us up.. I was with Alicia and Gabi.. in Alicia's next host families house - if that makes sense.. we had lunch at the Blumenau "club" where we plan to go in Summer because they have this really nice pool and tennis courts and things :) Then we met up with the exchangers again.. got given ridiculous bandanas, took a photo...

walked around the city for a while, looking at all the festive people that weren't at the festival... saw a band playing in the middle of the street.. that played Happy Birthday for Emma, went to a beer museum, a playground... annnd back to our host families houses to have a rest, get something to eat and then go to OKTOBERFEST!!!! I'd say it was fairly awesome, but just annoying because we had to go back to Rotary every hour to make sure we were alive.. and it took so long to get to them because they were in the middle of this giant room crammed with people.. Naija, Annika and I (and a few other exchangers) went on THIS ride..

which was actually fairly boring.. but we made it as fun as we could.. by screaming as loud as possible, then I did the "spit on the crowd" thing.. but it happened to go where no one was standing.. near the back of the ride.. fail.. but then Naija did it and OH. MY. GOD! funniest part of the night! It flew back up and stuck to her face.. aHahahahaah, over her cheek and eye and just above her eyebrow.. and the best part? She couldn't get it off because the ride restricts your arms from moving much... HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! oh man. IT WAS HILARIOUS!

So, anyway.. walking around later.. I find my friend Andre, which was super exciting! - Actually he found me.. - he ran up and grabbed my shoulders and was like "LUCI, LUCI, LUCI!!!" and yeah.. it was awesome fun haha :D

Sunday we went to the parade at 9:30, which went for SO LONG! And it was aiight.. but yeah.. we were so tired.. so it was.. yeah.. After that we went home, had some lunch, sat outside for a while, went and bought a few tshirts and souvenirs... annnd then caught the bus back home.. annnd SLEPT!!!! woo! That was my week!

Last night was awesome :)

Put me in the best mood. We (Philipp, Annika, Suki, Apenti, Honda, Naija and I) all went to Emma's house after our portuguese class and cooked or bought food from our countries. Two people didn't but that was okay! First we had hamburgers from America, then mashed potato from Germany, then soup and pasta from Taiwan, then pancakes from Germany then Tim Tams from Australia! OH MY GOD! I think I put on like 10 kilos last night. There were no left overs..

The other day..

when I was walking to school.. I saw a car hit a parked car and just drive off.. what the? :|

sometimes I get lazy.

and don't blog, because I did too much on the weekend to bother writing about it more than once.. but.. now I have a spare 40 minutes or so while I wait for the others to get here and eat lunch with me.. woo!
Lets start from Thursday.. school, portuguese class then Churros with my newbies and organising our foreign food night! Which is TOMORROW now. Can't wait ! :D We're all going to bring/cook something that's from our country. How I wish I had vegemite.. suppose we'll have to have another one.. :)
Friday I believe I stayed home in the morning and spoke with Mum, Dad, Reubz, Grace(?) Celeste, Logan, Mandela, William, Gramercy... mmm yup. The only real free time I had to say HAPPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To Mum.. which was actually on Saturday.. but Friday night is close enough.. right? and I got in a Happy Birthday Saturday night my time.. so.. I guess I just scrape in.. yus? So. After school I came back home, slept.. til like 7:30.. ha, catching up with sleep in fantastic.. woke up, ate, Bia and I put on fake nails.. haha and then I had four things to do that night. Andre's birthday party, my classes bbq, Manu's house and Jump. But fail.. Andre didn't call us, I didn't have a way back from the bbq and Manu and everyone decided they didn't want to go to Jump anymore... SO, Emma and I went to Jump together, found Lincon, got really exciting because it was fully packed with people and the music was pumping and then BAMMMM! We walk further in.. people not our age.. serteneja starts playing.. :| aw maaaaaaannn, so yeah.. we left early.. just went home and to bed..
Saturday.. weekends are made for being nocturnal I've decided. Sleep during the day and party at night.. it's always what happens. Except you wake up for lunch.. which I did.. we went to the shopping centre, Bia and I both got our hair cut.. not that different, just.. ya know, average haircut. THEN, when we got back home I was trying to decide which party I should go to that night, the one at Leo's house with my host sister or a bbq at (?)'s house that Lincon suggested.. Bia had gone to a different party beforehand and I wasn't sure what time we were leaving so when she called and said they were going I wasn't ready.. party with Lincon it was.. Annika's host dad gave us a lift there.. we pull over and I'm thinking wait a second.. this is where Leo's house is! Coincidently enough, it was the same party.. Unfortunately no bbq.. too bad I didn't eat before D: But who cares, there were so many people there that I hadn't seen in ages and it was great to catch up with everyone :)
OH OH OH !!!~ and one of the best bits was going inside and finding a cat! I was sooo happy, it like in a lul of happiness or something.. oh amazing.. ^-^

No doubt I was covered in fur by the time he jumped down.. but I did not care at all, I miss the cats so much.. Oh Evie, I'm so sorry baby <3>

I dropped a grain of rice on the ground.. and it was covered in ants.. near my foot... and I got bitten on the BOTTOM of BOTH my feet. RRRRRRRRG!! Still itchy now..

hmm, we came home, ate some huge slices of watermelon...

Friday I went to Saloon, a bar in the shopping center.. with Emma and Mari.. Turns out there wasn't anyone our age there.. so we went home :/ BUT, highlight of the night - a guy wearing a tshirt with Australia written on it :)
oh, I just remembered something.. from the Motogiro thing, there was a guy slowly riding past with a tshirt that had Australia written on it and I was like YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH AUSTRALIAAAA!!! At him.. then he shook my hand hahah. And at some other point during the night a group of guys came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder then were like "AUSTRALIAN!" .... turned around and ask them if any of them are Australians and one guy screams something along the lines of "my sisters boyfriends brother!!" (Some relation anyway) and then they all ran away.. haha. Brasilians :P
Anywho, Saturday I woke up and was brought to the shopping center, where I ate chinese food for lunch.. Looked for some suspenders to buy, found some.. didn't buy them (I should go do that) watched Bia try on some high heels that made her as tall as me.. O_O and then came back home for a little rest before I went to Mari's house for her birthday!

So we taxi'd home.. taxi driver just assumed I didn't speak any portuguese and kept saying "I don't speak english" when I was telling him which way to go.. IN PORTUGUESE... guh. I hate that. Oh well, got home in the end.. he went the long way though -_- even when I told him to turn right.. he just went straight ahead... grrr.
Hmm.. Sunday I went with my host family to another member of my host family's farm. Kind of, I wouldn't really call it a farm.. but close enough, there was horses, sheep, cows, chickens etc. We had a barbeque in a big wooden shed, with a big long table down the middle, a kitchen in the corner, some couches in another corner and a lawn bowls thing down the side.. not really "lawn" bowls.. it was conrete with some sand over it.. some oldies were playing.. was funny to watch, for a little while.. So we had a barbeque right, I already said that I think. Yeah. Well, my host dad asked me if I wanted some of 'this' which I didn't know what he was saying in portuguese and he didn't know in English so I just ate it.. part of it..

Later we were looking at the horses and stuff and my host dad comes up and asks me if I see the two sheep up on the hill, yeah, of course I do.. Well. That's what we were eating.... >.<>
