I think I've seen more bananas in the last month than I have in my entire life. There are orchids of banana trees.. and I'm still so amazed every time :D

Anywho.. Point is.. today.. I went to.. somewhere. I dunno, a stranger offered me candy so I accepted and jumped right into his van and went with him to.. somewhere special.. wait what..WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT. I think I got a little side tracked there.. that didn't actually happen.. or did it.. OOOOOOH, THE PLOT THICKENS!
Okay okay.. now really.. that was just silly guys.. I went to.. okay I still don't know where I went.. but I went WITH Jaky, Sophia, Ana (exchangers - Mexico, Germany, Taiwan) and Helouisa. Now Sophia's host mum. First we went to a lady's house.. and she had this sweeeeeeet garden.. See these things here?

They put babies on them! I don't know why.... but I bought a picture of it.. Mebe I'll take a picture of a picture.. *tries to find picture* Dang. I left it in Helouisa's car... fail! Oh well.. use your imagination k :)
It's a Brazilian plant somewhat like lily pads but like a bajillion times bigger and they grow in the Amazon.. who knows how she has them in her garden.. -.-
Oh and she had lots of little animals.. like.. chickens, guinea pigs, a rabbit.. oh and a dog.. and maybe a duck.. I don't remember.
Annnnnnnd after that. We drove to.. somewhere else.. Who knows.. clearly not me.. It was a rainforesty area. Kind of.. a little. No.. a lot.. but.. argh. This is so hard to explain.. There was a place.. where people go to party and whatnot (how surprising!) And then you can walk into the forest if you want... So we did.. and it was insanely cool. :D
Not gonna describe it.. cause I'm assuming you all know what a forest looks like >.> If you don't then.... TOO BAD FOR YOU! :)
Ohhh and I found a swing :D

Errrrrrrm. So I had my second Portuguese lesson today. Damn, it was so hard. Honestly.. I felt so dumb not knowing how to say anything. And I can’t roll my R’s. I suck :/ try and say this "Trabalho" I've had THE MOST trouble with this word. It means work by the way. But damn, I'm like DURRR every time I try and say it. >_< Portuguese is so hard :/
Example. In english.. we say I want, she/he wants, we want, you want, they want. In portuguese.. Eu quero, ela/ele quer, nos queremos, voce quer, eles querem. My god. And there is a plural of you - voces. MAN! And it's like this with everything. Like, to need, to drink, to eat, to walk, to need. EVERYTHING!
So in conclusion.. and as I've already said. It's very hard and confusing... >____<

Dear diary, mood apathetic.

So at school.. I sit in a room full of people and yet, I still feel lonely. My mind wanders off on its own account not allowing me to control where it goes. Most of the time it is directed at the other side of the world. Do I keep going on like this or do something about it? How do I stop it? Maybe it will fix itself. My brain clearly isn't sponge-like. None of this information is sinking in. Everything is way over my head. :| I feel like tacos.

I forgot to mention that while I was waiting in the line for the parade, I heard a guy speaking english and couldn't recognise any accent so I assumed he was Australian and then I asked him and he was! From Sydney chyeeeeee hooo! That was flippin' sweeeet! So we talked for ages... then I lost him :/ fail! Oh and he had sparkles in his beard :)

Carnaval...better start sooner or later.

Cause this is going to take forever!

So to start off with. Carnaval was not really what I expected.. well actually. I didn't know what to expect. Suppose I was just thinking people would be partying with crazy hats and whatnot, maybe I was partly right. EVERYONE was partying and going crazy. Haha, yes crazy - a good amount of the mens population were dressed as girls :P which was always a laugh.. anyway.. that's not the point. I didn't know the main part of Carnaval was a massive parade that goes from 9pm-7am-ish. 6 "schools" of people parading for about and hour and half each. This is what went down in Florianopolis anyway, I'm sure there were bigger ones.. Ohhhh oh, and the fireworks before each school were insane. The first ones were the best. So loud I could feel the thump in my chest. Crazy.

I couldn't actually see how far down the parade went - as in, how long the road was..

SO, after this insanely long parade we drove back to Balneario Camboriu, (where I stayed the night before with my host parents) to get my clothes and junk. Then, drove to... I don't actually know where we were.. the carnaval party we went to that night was "Uba Tuba" Though, so maybe that was the name of the town. I'm not sure.. hehe. But the house we stayed at was sweeeeeeet! Right near the beach too :) So chilled. I loved it. Oh, by the way.. I was with Jaky, Sophia and Jaky's host mum... her house.. yeah right. Not writing this out very well.. but.. eh. You get the basic drift.. right? Hope so :)
We went with Jaky's host brother Eduardo (I dunno how to spell it) and his friend and this is what was going down at "Uba Tuba"

Looks pretty cooooool yeah? Well it was. Really. Awesome fun =] There was a band playing on top of this truck thing too, didn't get a pic but.. damn. Once again, I need more words to describe how cool things are here. This party was rad.. yeah, sure, rad. So many people all gathered into one area partying like crazy and blasting music everywhere. OSSUM! It was even still good when it was pouring down rain haha, cause it wasn't cold :) The next day after partying was just chill at the beach, yey! Oh and get covered in black sand and walk around pretending to wonder why people are giving me funny looks.. Oh and bury Sohpia in the sand. Everyone's got to do it once upon a time..

Soooooo so excited! Well.. on the inside.. I'm feeling kinda dodge at the moment to be honest.. Point is.. we're heading to BC tonight to sleeeep then I'm driving with Jaky and Sohpia to Florianopolis (State Capital) where we will watch some parades and whatnot.. then after that.. I'm not exactly sure.. party for a few days I suppose ;D

So everything else is pretty good anyway. The 'truth' is that school is totally awesome and I am having so much fun! But really. The real truth is that it is pretty boring.. I mean.. It's fun some of the time but it gets frustrating.. That'll pass though once I know the language.. right? Well I hope so.. also some things about the school that are kinda funny... and kind of contradict themselves a little... maybe. But maybe it's just me being silly... Eg: you're allowed to wear singlets but not shorts..


Whatever :)...

I've depostited the money for the falls trip (well the first lot anyway) Now I need to figure out the Amazon.. Eeep. Went to the 'mall' (jeez I feel American) to get out money so I could deposit it and junk... I was scared to walk to the car with R$750 :| Never had so many reals in my life.. the point I'm getting to is that it was raining outside.. and their windscreen wiper are super fast and awesome! They slow down when the car slows down and then speed up again when you keep going.. I THOUGHT IT WAS COOL OKAY!......... Gosh, I dunno what else to say, feel I've made kind of a fool of myself now..... :s

So.. I guess I'll post again after carnaval :D

First day of school...

So I didn't understand a thing.. and I think they put me in the wrong class :s cause I'm meant to be in the class with Sophia.. but I'm in one down... eep.. anyway. This is what I accoplished.. woo.. be pround.. :D

Forgot to post .....

Okay so the other day, the 4th I think... I dunno. But I had THE most amazing day :D I went to Porto Belo.. (I think) with Sophia, Jaky and Jaky's host mum. We went on this pirate ship cruise type thing, was so much fun. Oh and I met Jack Sparrow ;) ANNNND I didn't get burnt (mum).. I was full on slippery from sunscreen.. haha.. ew.. Yeah, but anyway. As we got on the pirate ship there was louudd music playing and after a while everyone was dancing and the pirate were showing us some cool moves... :P
The DF ! They were letting everyone cheer for where they were from, like, Rio, Argentina, Sao Paulo, Santa Catarina.. etc. Then they said Australia (I guess cause I had my Australian bikini on) and I was the only one who cheered. We stopped in the middle of the sea somewhere and jumped off the ship and swam, haha that was so cool :D Hmmmmmm, then when we drove (what do you do with a boat? :s sail? No there wasn't a sail...I dunno) to land... we got off and stayed at a beach for about two hours.. during this time I got a crazy string thing in my hair.. which is fairly cool =] also swam around a bit and got some fewd. Yummmeh. Oh, and walked around the foresty bit for a while too - that was sweet. Thennnnnn back on thy ship and all the way back to where we started.. different pirates though.. not as fun D: We drove around for ages after that.. I thought we were lost.. :/ but noooo. We were going to THE MOST AMAZING PLACE EVERRR! We drove to the top of this mountain, and then climbed up to the very very top.. had a 360 degree view of the sea, sky and land. Oh my god. It was honestly the coolest view I've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful. Damn, I don't have enough good describing words in my vocabulary. Holey moley, cool snake. Nah I dunno. But it was damn amazing.

OH and then where we got dinner there was all the fruit and veg hanging about, and MAN Bananas are heavy!!!! We got sugar cane drinks too... made me think I was an elephant ;D

Pool is sweet.

Yesterday Sophia and I spent the day at Jaky's house in the pool, she made chocolate moose, woo. Good work haha. We also had that cheese bread stuff. I love it :) x Oh and when I got home I called work, took me soooo long to make the phone card work though >.> ridiculous.. but eventually I got there, so good to talk to everyone :D yey

I think I could pass it off as spilling a glass of water on my pillow.

Maybe that was a little exaggerated but damn was I upset..

I went to Joinville today, to go to the police to get my ID or something... but there was something wrong with the documents... LAME. It was about the school over here I think.. So on Friday we now have to go to the capital of Santa Catarina.. which is ages away.. arr.. Guitar time.
