Can't decide if I liked the weekend or not..

I'm a very indecisive person.. but that's not the point. Bit pissed off about the weekend.. but this morning was good. Just we weren't there for long enough.. let's step backwards now.. to Friday.. School was GOOD! ...what?! When is school ever good and slightly not boring.. so the first half was boring.. but whatever.. the second half was.. well. A piece of paper got handed around for suggestions for the name of our team for the school sports. I wrote down "Cool Cats" and it totally won! :D But then the next class, people had more ideas and it got changed again.. :( The girls (not me) were wanting "Peace and Love" and the guys wanted... something something.. monkey.. ahah.. Both groups of people came to me trying to convince me to choose the name they wanted.. it was hilarious. Oh and we got a t-shirt for the games.. blue.. with all of our classes names on it. Olichamp games.. Hmm. Yeah.. so, school was only fun because of a big argument over the name for our team.. The monkey one ended up winning :D Then that night everyone from school went to do the opening cerimony for the games.. "Olympics" sang some songs, the national anthem.. I played a bit of volleyball.. went home and packed.. oh.. packing is SO much easier when all of your clothes are prefolded.. and then your host mum packs up the rest while you're away o.o haha awesome.
Thennnn. Saturday morning we went to Blumenau for the district conference.. which was uggh.. lame. Pretty boring but got to see all the exchangers. Not sure if I liked the weekend or not.. kinda angry about it.. :/ Saturday night was a mini October Fest. Was okay.. but I wasn't in the best mood so I probably didn't enjoy it as much as I could have.. Also tired.. oh well. Gabi, Alicia, Anne and I were all going to go to Camorra again but.. we weren't allowed. Don't remember why. I think because we had to go to the next festival thingy in the morning. Which we ended up going to late anyway.. disappointing.. Cause it was a lot better than we thought it would be. We figured it was another boring meeting like the day before.. that didn't really matter.. turned out it was a massive drinking festival (that we weren't allowed to drink at) with heaps of foood and cooking. A lot of crazies there too :P

See? :) So we came home not long after we got there. Got the bus back. Random things I see on the way back make me laugh to myself, for example, the dog walking ontop of a fence like a cat would and then on the next side street, some chickens walking around at the top of the hill.. oh little amusements makes me slightly happier.. Anywho.. When I got home, walked into my room to find a little present on my bed from my host mum, a photo thingy and some Brasil earrings for the world cup. AND THEN. I walk a little further and....

WOAH! How did that even happen? No. I know how it happened. My host mum packed everything up for me! BUT I'm talking about the amount of stuff I have :| I came here with one suitcase and a backpack.. and now THIS?!! Bizaar.. I don't know how to spell that.. but I like it. Just odd maybe. So yep.. Moving host families today. Hence the packing... Oooooh scary! :| Should be good though, excited too. Yes mum, gave my host family the goodbye/thank you presents :) EEK, gotta go right NAOW! Oops. OH YEAH ONE MORE THING... 1am, four exchange students. "Do you want to see me stick my finger through my ear? and there was something else.. but I DON'T REMEMBER!!! BYE.

*cough* So I left the computer and didn't post this, it's like 4 hours later now, I played guitar for a bit and then slept. ALSO.. that squeaky step doesn't squeak anymore :/

This is a year of saying goodbye.

and so much more of course, but that's such a big part of it. It's getting to the middle of the year and all of our 'oldies' are going back home.. :( it's sad..
So.. Friday night, Jaky's 18th birthday. Had a party at night with some friends.. pic whenever I get them... blah blah..
Saturday.. Warning: organisation skills have to be very high if you want to be able to do things in Brasil.. eventually got myself to Blumenau, where Alicia lives.. UP THIS FREAKING HILL D:

It doesn't look that big.. but I'm telling you.. it was horrible even walking down it let alone UP it :| (Which I plan to never ever do ever. I shall take a picture of what looks like the edge of the earth.. (That hill) next weekend.. and you shall see the horrors... anywho. Had some sweeeeet pizza (literally) and then went out with Luis (Mexico) and Nathan (USA) to a club called Camorra which was sweeeet as well. There was a band playing and two DJ's. Good night.. but.. Guess I won't see Nathan again until he comes to Aus... <- that's what I mean by goodbyes.. lame.
Then this morning we went to the shopping center to get FOOD and play Pacman..

..and then.. by SOME CRAZY CHANCE.. bumped into Celia at Burger King! The last time I saw her was in Australia.. when she was on exchange.. was so weird/cool and just plain awesome :D So got some food, waited for Gabi, then waited some more for Luis and Nathan.. who didn't end up getting there before I left.. fail.
Caught the bus home and then.. Not much :P Facebook and blog.. woo!

Okay. I believe I did the 4th last time, yeah? So the only time I actually wrote in my book was on the 8th.. (REUBORZ'S BIRTHDAY!!) And this is what I wrote - well some..
"Well, happy birthday R00bi G00bz! Big hugs coming your way.. kind of.. I don't really know which direction Australia is in but I'll just turn around in a circle sending hugs.. Rel hugs soon boy!" blah blah blah (Nothing interesting..) "Going to write about my last few pretty dodgey days. To start off, some one has stolen my ipod. 4 days it's been missing now. I was lead to believe exchange students were awesome and trustworthy. I guess not." Ooooohhh harsh. That's all I really wanted to put in :P But yeah.. hmmmm.. I guess we didn't do anything on the 5th.. cause the only thing I've written about it was that everyone slept in the forest... and I didn't even do that, cause I was feeling sick... not that the Belo Brasil lady believed me anyway >.> (wanted to say "I TOLD YOU SO!" on Friday night.. but no..)
May 6th: Now. I don't like this picture much.. BUT! It's just hilarious. We went paddling around in canoe's that tipped way too easily.. BUT! Mine didn't cause I'm pro :P When I went with Sophia anyway.. went I went with the princess with good posture...

(LOOK AT OUR BACKS HAHAHAHA)Who's never been canoeing before.. haha. I jumped out and tipped it :D hehe! Love you Gabi ^-^ HOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FACEWASH! ;) Hmm.. then I believe it was fewd time.. OH AND THEN.. the horrible.. HORRIBLE stairs D:

They really were terrifyingly steep.

There was a nice view at the top though.. I guess.

That's when we went trekking through the rainforest again. About 20 minutes in it started POURING rain.. In a rainforest.. can you believe it?! Full on like shower-rain though. Crazy, completely drenched within a couple minutes :/ Yup. Nice and wet.

Rain sometimes makes you creep around the forest trying to be cool.. So while walking/standing in the rain we smelled a tree that smelled like mint o.o looked at a tree you can get milky stuff out of, a tree you can get poison out of, a tree that we climbed.. Incase some freaky animals try and eat us.. cause they can't climb this kind of tree aparently... hmm then took the canoe back..

and looked at some niiiiice skies :)

May 7th: Is the day we drove (boat drove) for 6 hours to.. who knows where.. :/ (But today's exciting-ish) Gonna write what's in my book again.. mebe. Quite detailed in this part cause it was the night before that it had all happened.. you ready?! It's long and maybe boring.. so maybe skip ahead. OR, maybe I'll detail it down a little and you can ask for what's in the book if you want.. sounds gooood :)
Okay so driving, I had a headache to start off with, then we stopped and everyone went swimming (in the amazon river, YEA! - not the first time, meh ;) ) I hesitated but went in anyway... hmm.. Got out feeling really out of breath and weak with an even worse headache. So I layed down and started getting those really hot and really cold flushes and being all shakey. Someone called over Luciana eventually and I got given medicine straight away and got told to get changed out of my bathers, swimmers.. whatever you call them you weirdos. I came back and layed down on at the very front of the boat, as far away from people, music and just general noise altogether.. Got my temperature checked.. 38.5 :/ Then everyone left to go canoeing again.. but Sophia and Gabi stayed with me and tried to make me sleep.. ha! Got given another one of those disgusting this-will-make-you-feel-better drinks >.> Got a photo taken.... >_>

Thennnn, dinner came and I got told I had to eat so I got some salad and potatoes. Drank some water.. ate like a square centimeter of lettuce and an olive.. then stopped.. Felt dizzy and horrible for a few minutes then did that thing where you do everything you do when you throw up.. but nothing comes out >.> Felt so stupid. But I sure grabbed Sophia's and Gabi's attention :P I stood up and something made me walk away from the table and to the other side of the boat.. luckily enough too. That's where I did throw up.. Fun. It's hard trying to aim your vomit from ontop of a boat. Trying not to hit the boat next to us (we were on the middle boat of three, fail) I stopped and walked about two meters and went again. Also fun. Ohhhh and the worst thing was the cuts in my mouth. They were like ulcers but atleast 7 times bigger and worse.. stomach acid... on mouth cuts... also fun :/ So yeah, that was when I was told I was going to hospital.. >.< Grabbed money, passport, police check, shoes and a jacket.. Oh man.. bending down looking for my shoes in 'the pile' was horrible.. got Sophia to do it for me haha. Hmm.. jumped in the motor canoe and off to a place where we waited for ages for a taxi.. Hospital seemed so unneseccary by then and I felt a little awkward that they had taken me all that way... until we got there and I had to run outside to do it again.. and then after they'd asked me questions.. I was getting that dizzy, bad feeling again and I was thinking where I would go.. the bathroom across the hall maybe? Or outside again? No, I spotted a bin under a table and well.. that's where it ended up.. (good story right?) Hmm..... Oh yeah. Then the IV tubey thing. The 'doctor' tied a rubber glove around my arm to make the vein stick out.. I wasn't looking when he put the needle in... cause I can't stand them but it was hurting so much I had to see what he was doing.. looked over and there's blood dripping all down my arm.. Thanks Doc. Guh, most painful needle I've ever had - and I've had a lot -.- OH! AND FREAKING! This is what you get for going to a public hospital in the middle of the jungle.. half way through the guy putting the needle in, some other doctor/nurse, whatever they are.. started playing music on his phone! :| So yup. Pretty.. not impressed at all. >.> anyway. Spent the night there with Sophia and Luciana.. woke up soooo many times during the night. Too uncomfortable.. oh and in the morning I was covered in spots.. and no, not from the mosquitos I asked for repellent for (which they didn't supply..) actually.. I still don't know what those dots were from.. but apparently they were 'normal'. We were meant to leave at 6am but the doctor was late so we waited.. and waited.. and.. Then Bernardo came and visited me, and then we waited some more.. until about 9am.. DAMN PUBLIC JUNGLE HOSPITALS. Though. I am glad for going there I suppose. I felt sooo much better :) So much better infact...
May 8th: I DID feed and swim around with some pink dophins.. no Mum.. no hallucinating after the three and a bit bags of.. fluid crud. SEE HERE'S PROOF :D

Oh... and my diet for the next few days was just awesome.. crackers and water for breakfast. Spaghetti, rice, pasta for lunch and dinner.. mmm >.> Yup so came back from feeding the not-so-cute dolphins and did.. well.. nothing I guess. Maybe played some guitar and dominoes :s OHHH NO I DIDN'T PLAY DOMINOES ! I was going to.. but then they had packed up ahaha, so instead. Sophia and I went to the front of the boat and sang the Titanic theme song out to the sea (river..) then The Climb, then Teenage Dirtbag, then some Blink.. We're way too cool! Oh and we drove through some rain we had been looking at from far away beforehand. It was hilarious. I took a video of it.. but REAAALLLY can't be bothered uploading so.. maybe you can see it in 8ish months if you want :) I think we had dinner on the beach that night too..
So. I just scrolled up a bit.. and that REALLLY wasn't much less detailed than what's in my book :/ what a waste of time! Dammit. Oh well. DONE NOW!
May 9th: I don't even know, I guess we came home :s anyway, whatever day it was.. it was goodbye to pretty much everyone :( Cause they're ALL going home in July/August. Some earlier. But I will see everyone from my district next, next weekend at the conference thingy! Plane's home were baaad. I was SOOO freaking cold! Feverish and stuff. Serves me right for wearing shorts on a plane I suppose. OH OH OH ! I REMEMBER WHAT WE DID ON THE LAST DAY! I think? :s We went back to the 'coke beach' as I like to call it anyway..

Yeah, that was the night we went to the airport and waited til 12:30am for our flight.. and ours was one of the first ones :/ some people were waiting til 4am.. poor souls.. UNLESS they were that person.. cough.
Oh yeah.. (Gotta add this in somewhere) 4 exchange students. 5:40am in Rio's airport. discussing english grammar, hahahaha. BUT eing cold on the planes and at the airport is just horrible. Check out my hot outfit..

Had to wait until we got to the last airport (Curitiba) before I could get some pants and shoes on.. and there we waited like 2 more hours for the rest of the people to get there.. >_> Drank some tea to hopefully warm me up.. unsuccessful. I felt so far away, as in, everyone's voices sounded so weird and I dunno, like I had ear muffs on or something :s weird. So we got the taxi van thing back and halfway through I woke up reallly hot and ugh, felt so bad! Then caught the bus from Joinville back to Jaragua.. Just wanted to sleep so badly.. been awake all night on planes and being freezing and stuff.. oh and I wanted to eat so badly :| But no.. Went to the doctors.. got blood taken, got a needle in my bum.. then got told I couldn't eat for another hour otherwise 'you WILL throw up' awesome...... Not that I could eat very interesting food anyway.. Hmm then spent the next 4 days cooped up in bed. I actually didn't even go outside.. for such a long time.. I liked it actually. Lots of Law & Order, movies, Invader Zim and sleeep :) Then went back to school on Monday.. :( Lame. Already posted about the weekend I believe.. German restaurant, zoo and lack of camera battery >.> Oh well.

May 4th: First thing I know is that's the day my ipod got stolen. My beloved 3 week old, early birthday present from the rents. Thanks a**hole, who ever you are, if you read this.. know that I hate you -_- Anywho. Second day on the boat. (I think, well Gabi said "we woke up after the first night of sleeping in hammocks" Not me though. I slept on the floor.. much more comfortable than being squished in between people >.> So I guess we did nothing until we went past THE TWO RIVERS! So very clearly two rivers.. I guess this doesn't make sense but really. Just look at the picture..

AND THEN! We went to ANOTHER cool river.. it was so dark and still, maybe even a little bit creepy, but it was beautiful, really. I just felt so chilled sitting at the front of the boat staring into it and thinking :)

nice huh? :) (Side note, I'm gonna take as long as possible writing this, just because I know Gabi's "like addicted to it... I've been refreshing it every couple of minutes" HAHAHAHAH!

Went to the zoo yesterday.. (Luci is failing at blogging good lately.. I have excuses.. cough) I think I could just sit and watch the lions, tigers, cheetahs, pumas.. etc ALL day. I love them, too much maybe. Fail though.. my camera ran out of battery so I got no picture :( Guess I'll just have to go again hey ;)
Hmm, oh yeah. BEFORE the zoo, my host parents took me to a German restaurant where we *definitely didn't drink any beer*..... Not the point. There was a waiter there that looked kind of like Leonardo Dicaprio :o but.. with a monobrow kinda and.. yeah.. not as good looking.. :/ BUT STILL! I thought it was coooool :)

Oops.. well that really didn't happen at all... I slept.. ALL day :| I didn't think that was even possible.. I woke up at 7:30 to take a tablet then went online to see if any cool cats from Aus were there. Talked to Zane for a little while.. went back to sleep. Woke up for lunch, checked facebook, went back to sleep then woke up again at like 5 :| I even slept through the maid cleaning up my room... HOW?! I'm so weirded out about this.. So anyway... Amazon....
April 30th: pack everything the day we leave. Good job :) Drive to Ursula's in Joinville, chill with exchangers, watch movies and eat insane amounts of pizza :D
May 1st: Wake up at 4:30am thinking it's a joke, try to go back to sleep.. it's no joke.. everyone's up. Get up, get on the bus to Curitiba airport.. sleep. Arrive at the airport.. buy gum.. wait.. wait.. wait........... blah blah blah.. PLANE YEA! Okay, not that exciting.. I'm over planes now. Go to Brasilia (capital! I've pretty much travelled all over Brasil already - to the airports >.>) SO MANY GERMANS! Wait some more.. Wow this is boring.. PLANE! YEA! Once again.. not so exciting.. Get to Manaus and catch a bussss... travelling is just such fun. Anyway. Bus it to a hotel..

Got this welcome drink thingy.. it was an Amazon fruit drink.. don't remember what it was called but it tasted pretty good! Hmmm oh yeah. Went to our rooms, only took like ten minutes to walk there :| Seriously. The hotel was INSANE! Freaking huge! Ohhh, and it was soooooooooooooo hot there. Ridiculous! So humid and ick. >_< So we got changed and went to the pooool, but didn't go in :/ Went and bought HOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! FACEWASH!!! (inside joke..HAHA you're on the OUTSIDE! ..unless you're Gabi or Sophia.. or anyone else that heard the story..) Bought some braclets and things for the blazer.. Then everyone got changed into BLUE, listened to Bernardo talk for.. ages. Ate insane amounts of pizza again, then hopped on a bus (woo more travelling) to watch the reheasal of the biggest folkloric festival in Brasil - The Parintins Festival. There are two main characters, Boi Caprichoso - represented by a blue star, and Boi Garantido - represented by a red heart. We went to the Caprichoso one.. obviously...

So that was pretty damn coool! Roughly 5000 people there ALL dressed in blue and everyone knew the dances.. except us :/ So we were just enjoying the music and attempting to copy people.. :P I got pulled into the middle of a circle and won a free t-shirt for dancing.. :D The Caprichoso t-shirt.. WIN!
May 2nd: Hmmm, struggling to remember here... I never remember what the places are called... but went SOMEWHERE and walked around this lame place for a while around a smelly river.. (poor area) Looked at a big.. statue? I dunno, can't think of the word.. and got a picture being oh so proud to be Australian with my first time unfolded flag (THAT GABI STILL HAS!)

Then went into a little shop/museum thing maybe? I dunno. I stepped in poop on the way there though >_> awesome start to the day. Then to a big.. place :/ I don't even know what it was, but we weren't allowed to use the flash on our cameras.. the best part about that place was where you put on these funny slippers and slid all around the floor.. haha.. That was fun..... and thennnn, next place (I think this was all in the same day) Went to ANOTHER place, more museum-y.. made friends with a crocodile (it's the best I can do)

Looked at some fish, spiders, butterflies.. all that.. Found a cool drum thing that Sophia and I made a sweeeet beat out of.. There's a video somewhere. I may youtube it later. Then found some huuuge fruit thing on a tree out the front.. I was so amazed by it. :P Really, it was cool...

Hmmm I believe it was more bussing after this.. OH YEAH, bus to the cabins.. unfortunately our bus broke down though >_> for two hours.. no reception or anything, I don't know how they got the other bus to come back.. :s Cause when we finally got there the people on the other bus said they had no idea that our bus had stopped.. hmmmmmm. Oh... check out the road we broke down on too.. click and zoom to see the long never endingness of it too.. it was like this the other way as well..

So.. that night.. got there.. waited.. ate some fewd.. waited some more. Watched 4 people dance to the Boi Garantido music.. (The red one) for a little while, waited for the bus to get back with everyone's luggage so we could go trekking in the jungle. Which we did.. At midnight >_> I was sooo tired by then. Really didn't want to go.. but DID cause.. well yeah, who goes trekking at midnight through the Amazon? :s So yeah, went into a cave..

Jeez, I look rather tired.. hmm walked out of the cave, trekked through some water (I like that word.. trekked) saw a REALLY BIG SPIDER!

Yeah, that sure is my finger :| hmmmm, walked (I'm sure you're getting sick of "trekked" by now) for like another hour or.. a very long time.. got super tired got to the end and well.. see for yourself..

Yeah, then a car came and 60 odd exchange students bolted off the road.. it wasn't even a car.. it was a VERY slow motorbike >_> fail exchangers.. fail! Oh haha, when we got back I taught some kids the cup game :P (The game the inbounds taught us last year :D)
May 3rd: I believe was the day we got on the boat.. BUT FIRST.. still at the cabins.. we walked down this.. road? I guess I dunno, walked through some more forest and saw a cool waterfall thingy, then went down the bottom where the water was more calm and swam, for ages :) was nice.. but the water was.. reddy/orangey.. kind of.. turn off-ish but still.. Turns out the water was that colour where ever we went :s Look, water.

swim swim.. rocks.. bruise. >_> Stop swimming..... back to the cabins.. shower change annnnnnd. BUS! Again >_> annnnnnd boat :3 Not much on the boat til night... then went out on the canoe annnnd CAUGHT A CROCODILE! YEA!
