The other day..

when I was walking to school.. I saw a car hit a parked car and just drive off.. what the? :|

sometimes I get lazy.

and don't blog, because I did too much on the weekend to bother writing about it more than once.. but.. now I have a spare 40 minutes or so while I wait for the others to get here and eat lunch with me.. woo!
Lets start from Thursday.. school, portuguese class then Churros with my newbies and organising our foreign food night! Which is TOMORROW now. Can't wait ! :D We're all going to bring/cook something that's from our country. How I wish I had vegemite.. suppose we'll have to have another one.. :)
Friday I believe I stayed home in the morning and spoke with Mum, Dad, Reubz, Grace(?) Celeste, Logan, Mandela, William, Gramercy... mmm yup. The only real free time I had to say HAPPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To Mum.. which was actually on Saturday.. but Friday night is close enough.. right? and I got in a Happy Birthday Saturday night my time.. so.. I guess I just scrape in.. yus? So. After school I came back home, slept.. til like 7:30.. ha, catching up with sleep in fantastic.. woke up, ate, Bia and I put on fake nails.. haha and then I had four things to do that night. Andre's birthday party, my classes bbq, Manu's house and Jump. But fail.. Andre didn't call us, I didn't have a way back from the bbq and Manu and everyone decided they didn't want to go to Jump anymore... SO, Emma and I went to Jump together, found Lincon, got really exciting because it was fully packed with people and the music was pumping and then BAMMMM! We walk further in.. people not our age.. serteneja starts playing.. :| aw maaaaaaannn, so yeah.. we left early.. just went home and to bed..
Saturday.. weekends are made for being nocturnal I've decided. Sleep during the day and party at night.. it's always what happens. Except you wake up for lunch.. which I did.. we went to the shopping centre, Bia and I both got our hair cut.. not that different, just.. ya know, average haircut. THEN, when we got back home I was trying to decide which party I should go to that night, the one at Leo's house with my host sister or a bbq at (?)'s house that Lincon suggested.. Bia had gone to a different party beforehand and I wasn't sure what time we were leaving so when she called and said they were going I wasn't ready.. party with Lincon it was.. Annika's host dad gave us a lift there.. we pull over and I'm thinking wait a second.. this is where Leo's house is! Coincidently enough, it was the same party.. Unfortunately no bbq.. too bad I didn't eat before D: But who cares, there were so many people there that I hadn't seen in ages and it was great to catch up with everyone :)
OH OH OH !!!~ and one of the best bits was going inside and finding a cat! I was sooo happy, it like in a lul of happiness or something.. oh amazing.. ^-^

No doubt I was covered in fur by the time he jumped down.. but I did not care at all, I miss the cats so much.. Oh Evie, I'm so sorry baby <3>

Annika stayed at my place that night and in the morning we went to my Grandma's house to eat Sunday lunch.. MMMMMM! Always so good! Bbq. I dropped a grain of rice on the ground.. and it was covered in ants.. near my foot... and I got bitten on the BOTTOM of BOTH my feet. RRRRRRRRG!! Still itchy now..

hmm, we came home, ate some huge slices of watermelon...

Facebooked my hairdresser Destiny to come over and dye my hair..

And then danced with my host mum until we went to Philipp's house for his birthday..

Weekend!

Friday I went to Saloon, a bar in the shopping center.. with Emma and Mari.. Turns out there wasn't anyone our age there.. so we went home :/ BUT, highlight of the night - a guy wearing a tshirt with Australia written on it :)
oh, I just remembered something.. from the Motogiro thing, there was a guy slowly riding past with a tshirt that had Australia written on it and I was like YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH AUSTRALIAAAA!!! At him.. then he shook my hand hahah. And at some other point during the night a group of guys came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder then were like "AUSTRALIAN!" .... turned around and ask them if any of them are Australians and one guy screams something along the lines of "my sisters boyfriends brother!!" (Some relation anyway) and then they all ran away.. haha. Brasilians :P
Anywho, Saturday I woke up and was brought to the shopping center, where I ate chinese food for lunch.. Looked for some suspenders to buy, found some.. didn't buy them (I should go do that) watched Bia try on some high heels that made her as tall as me.. O_O and then came back home for a little rest before I went to Mari's house for her birthday!

So we ate brigadeiro, a chicken dish, a shrimp dish, a bacon and broccoli dish... and I didn't eat the dessert. (1 's' or 2?) Just not into it :/

We got a lift to Emma's house, chilled and waited for her to get ready and choose some clothes ;P then walked back to my house so I could get clothes to go out too. Thennn at like 12:30am (yeah, thats what time we go to parties, cause we're rebels) we headed off to Jump and had a crazy fun night there for Mariana's 18th. Along with the Naija, Annika, Lincon, Andre, Pablo, Duda and whats-her-face.. :/ oops. Also a whole more people.. oh hahaha Bruno XD

So we taxi'd home.. taxi driver just assumed I didn't speak any portuguese and kept saying "I don't speak english" when I was telling him which way to go.. IN PORTUGUESE... guh. I hate that. Oh well, got home in the end.. he went the long way though -_- even when I told him to turn right.. he just went straight ahead... grrr.
Hmm.. Sunday I went with my host family to another member of my host family's farm. Kind of, I wouldn't really call it a farm.. but close enough, there was horses, sheep, cows, chickens etc. We had a barbeque in a big wooden shed, with a big long table down the middle, a kitchen in the corner, some couches in another corner and a lawn bowls thing down the side.. not really "lawn" bowls.. it was conrete with some sand over it.. some oldies were playing.. was funny to watch, for a little while.. So we had a barbeque right, I already said that I think. Yeah. Well, my host dad asked me if I wanted some of 'this' which I didn't know what he was saying in portuguese and he didn't know in English so I just ate it.. part of it..

Later we were looking at the horses and stuff and my host dad comes up and asks me if I see the two sheep up on the hill, yeah, of course I do.. Well. That's what we were eating.... >.<>

SCHOOL WAS COOL!

So, I walked into this classroom, and there was this huge blown up dome thing filling up the whole room and then I had to walk through this tube to get inside and everyone was sitting down in dim light.. so I sat down and waited.. then all the lights turned off and music played and a recorded voice started talking about constellations... and then all these stars lit up around the roof of the dome so it was like night time... Even though I didn't really understand what the guy was saying it was still cool as :D and he totally pointed out the Southern Cross! :) I will try and get a picture of it tomorrow.....

I can't believe I forgot to post this.

So the milk here is... cupboard milk, longlife milk.. you know the stuff.. and it JUST doesn't cut it! SO, I was discussing this with Emma in Grafipel and I was like "wait a minute.. they DO have real milk here, just no one buys it.." SOOOOO, off to the supermarket we went and bought a litre of milk, got a couple of cups from Bob's and sat outside to drinnnnk the sweet, untasted-for-so-long MILK!

Saturday was cooool! heh! BUT, I'm gonna tell you about Friday first! Grafipel with Emma, lunch with Joana, Manu, Emma and Naija -the usual. Thennnn soccer, then Barbara's house for a barbeque with some cool peeps. So high up! Top floor of the building was cool!
Anyway, Saturday. Watched Bia get a tattoo in the morning, came home, went back to sleep til like 2, woke up to foood! Then got taken to a motorcross thing! :) too awesome. So cut that I didn't have my camera though :( couldn't find it before we left.. BUT, I still had an amazing time, watching the guys doing tricks and stufff, then shredding up their tires until they literally exploded :| oh oh, and I almost got chosen to ride on the back of one of the guys motorbikes, cause he pointed towards me and then some other random chick ran out... LAME! Also, absolutely owned (and got owned by - but let's not talk about that) a mechanical bull.. heh!


Ohh and saw a Creedence cover band, awesome! Eventuallywent up the front, where I got thrown the guitarists pick, and thennn he came close to be and bent down so he was playing right in front of me, then I was like "TURN AROUND!" so he turned, and then he was playing the chords and I was strumming, yeeeeaaaah! haha, and thennnn, at the end some guy had a mic and he put on "Another Brick In The Wall" By Pink Flloyd, and gave us the mic every time the chorus came on haha, and at the end I just yelled into the mic "AUSTRALIA ROCKS" was so awesome! :)
Oh, and at one point, the two guitarists came down into the crowd haha.

Independence Day!

Was Tuesday. Downtown had a huge parade.. really, huge. It went for like 2 hours or something.. but it was pretty good, drummers, marchers, motorbikes.. ya know, all that jazz. The motorbikes were crazy.. And then.. ohh the end was the worst :( - If I go deaf, I'm definitely blaming it on Brasil :| everything is just so loud here.. So there was like 10 ambulances, firetrucks - police vehicles.. ALL with their sirens on ! D: bah.

I think I'm gonna tell you what I've been up to..

Instead of posting random little things and pictures...
SO! Starting from last... Saturday! The 4th right? Well.. which ever day was the 4th. Left at 9am for Piçarras - another city about an hour and a bit away.. where we were heading to... BALI HAI! weow! Spent the day having a bbq, in the sun,

on a blow up matress,

in hammocks..

and chillin' at the beach - note: it's still winter in Brasil.
Thennn, off to Bali Hai we went!

All dressed up.. AWWWWW! :/ *since when am I ever the shortest! All of my newbies are taller than me!

Bali Hai is this huge club - by the way. It's right on the beach on decking.. with 5 different shelter like things with different types of music so you can walk around and listen to what ever you want. We stayed there until 6:30am and watched the sun rise over the beach...

Thennnn, we went home,

watched some more sun rise, ate hot dogs and fell asleep.. :)
Sundaaaay, was fantastic! More eating bbq, more chillin at the beach, playing volleyball, writing "AUSTRALIA" reallllly big in the sand, doing crazy things, oh so much fun! :)

is where I always think about what I'm going to write on here.. Thought I should let you know. But I usually forget what I was thinking about writing because I either go to bed or get distracted by something/one else. BUT, this is what I was thinking just before: to tell you about the weekend.. but I'm not going to! -tomorrow maybe.. and about last Wednesday when I was with the kids, and I went on a suprise (for me) excursion to a plaaace that had ostriches, turkeys, pigs, turtles.. more other birdy birds.. and then we had a little picnic on the other side of the road.. after that, some kid was peeing in the middle of the grass.. my gosh. THAT WAS HILARIOUS! He just did it as if it was completely normal and then looked soooo scared when the teacher yelled and stopped him.. ahaha.

..I've gone blank, but I don't want to end on a kid peeing... :| so uhm... Oh, well. I don't have class tomorrow because every one has tests.. heh! :D
