Not so awesome blog time.

Goodbye time. So now it's REALLY getting to the time where everyone is leaving, and it sucks. Luis left on Friday, and I didn't get to see him before he went home. Anne's goodbye party was on Friday, in Timbó. Where we caught a bus to... and on the way back.. some dude crashed into the bus with his car.... so we just waited and waited til the bus was fixed to keep going.. fun fun.. Friday was also a day for the soccer.. I went with Bia to one of her friends houses and chilled with heaps of cool new people and a few I already knew, they're all so nice :) So that was fun.. oh oh and when the soccer was over we went to the roof of the apartment building and hung out there listening to music, talking and watching people dance:P
Humm, then Saturday Bia's best friend Julia was over and then at night Gio had his school model contest thingy.. which we went to.. Nice one :P then some of his friends came over for the night as well and we watched movies and tv til 7am... then slept.. til 11 :| and had the usual sunday lunch with the whole host family.
Also, getting something ready... wooo :D

So the other day I was thinking - how surprising - how differently I would be thinking if I was still in Australia, or even if I went on exchange to a different country. So weird thinking about how different things might have been o.o

I dunno where I left off on my last post but... I'm gonna start from Saturday... We all (Me, Alicia, Bia, Julia, Giovanni and my host parents) went to a shopping center and had lunch, then went to my host grandparents house where Alicia and I watched some Madagascar and slept on the couch, while balloons and things were being blown up.. that I wasn't aware of.. I so would have helped. Gotten my lung exercises on :D but the whole balloons-popping-in-your-face thing isn't so great... D: So anyway, that was all pretty much setting up.. at my host grandparents place then I think "Wait a minute.. where is this party being held...?" then I ask and guess what.. I invited everyone to the wrong house >___> nice one. Guh, so people get called and whatnot.. but it was okay.. not that many people could come anyway.. so wasn't too difficult.. and my host dad stayed at the house while the party was on in case anyone still hadn't gotten the message that the address was wrong..
Alicia and I got some sweet playlist going and set off back to the party residence.... and played pool and ate candy while we waited for people to arrive...

Here is pretty much everything that was at the party.. people, cake, candy, Me and Bia... Though there is missing pizza, the pool table, other people, the broom stick, balloons, tunes.. blah blah... whatever... That's the cake at it's finest :D!

This is my friend who's name I do not remember.. he goes to my school though, he is also Julia's boyfriend.. Julia also goes to my school, she is also Bia's best friend. Bia doesn't go to my school, but I live with her........ wow that was weird.. :|

SUNDAY: sleep, left over pizza, soccer (YEY BRASIL WON!), american pie, popcorn. Yep, pretty much what Sundays are made for :) Oh haha... "Do you know how long to put the microwave on for?" "No just put it on the 'pipoca' setting, the microwave knows what it's doing"

Hahahahahaha, oh my. What a lol. And our other funny things... I only remember this one.. "Facebook is interesting... >_> ...do you want ice cream?" ahah, yes please.

One more thing... this picture is old. Not really, maybe like a week old but I was being all "YEAH BRASIL" and "YEAH AUSTRALIA" at the same time, so I thought I might put it up.

WEDNESDAY: school... but not as much. Left at 10 because they had tests... also, don't have school on Friday cause they have a WHOLE day of testingness :) WHICH MEANS, anyone who wants to chat Friday night (Australia time) I'll be on :)

ohhhh wait ahaha...HAHAH, Tuesday at school was fun, for a while. I showed up some dude :P He was talking in portuguese about the work and he said I don't I understand.. I looked up at him and said that infact I DID understand (in portuguese) hahahhaahhaa, should have seen his face! kinda like this O__O but really. It was hilarious.. he was like WHAAAAAAAT?! heh :D win.

Who would have though bingo could be so confusing!

:| ! Indeed, BINGO was quite difficult in portuguese... figuring out the numbers.. and he was saying them so fast too! But, I totally won a round... and received a glass box/vase thing.. cool huh? Sure why not.. So that was what I did Friday night.. In the morning, I woke up got ready as usual then my host family came into my room and sang happy birthday to me (portuguese happy birthday..) and gave me a present, a braclet with ingraving on it saying "com carinho da familia Marcolla 18.06.2o10" :D:D to remember them and Brasil... thennnn I headed off to school, walked into the classroom earlyish and sat down awkwardly by myself because no one who was in there knew it was my birthday.. so I just kicked out the ipod and waited for my friend Jess to come in.. wew! Excitement! and another birthday present ^-^ chocolate and a letter, naw :) Letters are the best! *hint hint* Write me a letter! :D
hummm, so.. I've left this open for a few days... and I JUST CAN'T BE BOTHERED WRITING THE REST.... but I will..... at some stage... :) Pic's too! Until then.... ADEUS!

Anywho. Today is the 17th! yes? Of course it is. Tanya's birthday and the day before mine. BUT, I felt so odd.. cause.. at 11am, it was my birthday in Australia.. but not here :| so like.. 1 and a half hours until it's my birthday in Australia and Brasil :):)

Do you remember in primary school when we all made these things.. and they eventually got banned? I was thinking about that.. made one.. people were completely amazed.. maybe they didn't have sweet primary school days like us.. but the point it.. I'm wondering what we wrote in them that got them banned.. anyone remember? O_O Well that was the other day anyway... TODAY, I did this for some small entertainment.. It worked for a little while.. kind of.. Maybe I'm just lame.. heh.

Brasil (ians are) nuts.

Seriously. I have come to the conclusion that Brasilians are completely and utterly insane. As you might have heard, or watched, Brasil won their first game JUST THEN 2-1. YEEEEEEEAAH! But really.. walking to the shopping center to watch the game was already crazy.. people beeping and yelling out their windows and it just got louder and louder as we got closer.. People had those horns and whistles as well.. then INSIDE the shopping center.. my god.. SO LOUD! and crowded and hot. The game hadn't even started yet.. Even as I sit here now.. at almost 7pm (the game was at 3ish) I can still here people honking their horns and yelling out haha :P Anyway..so the game kicks off and the crowd just screams like. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW CRAZY ABOUT FOOTBALL THEY ARE! Nothing even happens the first half and the crowd is still going insane.. weird hey.. then the second half.. gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaalll! Their reaction.. Everyone is standing up and screaming and blowing on the horns and just generally making as much noise as possible.. then there's that couple of seconds where everyone's run out of breath and it goes kind of quiet :P hahaha. anyway, same thing but louder when they got the second goal.. OH and the deep OHHHHH! When Korea got a goal, or when Kaka missed that free kick he had... damn.. OH WELL, now that confused Australian chick in Brasil knows which team to go for now ;)

Yesterday I got asked a question by Anne: "Do you ever get surprised? Cause you seem like such a chilled person" I like that.. <- (Daniel hahahaha) But anyway, yes I do get surprised :P if you were wondering..
So, went out and had Japanese food last night, for Bia's birthday. It was crazy. We ordered something for all of us to share and a while later they bring out a boat.. (about a meter long boat - don't get too excited) ..filled with food, it was so cool... O_O and there were these moving shadows on the wall that I thought were from a projector or something.. >_> was trying to figure out where it was for ages.. until I realised there was a pattern on the window and the cars headlights were making the shadows >_> fail. epic fail.
BUT, pretty sure I'm going paraglyding today.. so this might be my last blog ever.. EVER :| if that's the case, I love you all <3

Yeah, thought so :P It was so funny, when the show finished the actors came out to talk to the audience or whoever wanted to. So I waited with my host sister cause I wanted to meet them and stufff, and there was atLEAST 30 girls all waiting for this one guy actor.. and then second he came out. EVERY single one of them ran towards him and screamed! Hahaha, I wish I got it on film, it was too funny :P I took a photo though..

and I also got a photo with him, it's terrible of me.. I know >_> but look at him.. no wonder all the girls want him ;p also.. since I waited til the end I got to talk to him for longer than the rest... :D ha suckers ;) Also, he spoke reallllllly good english AND he's "Crazy about Australia" AND I got a kiss and a hug :) Think I win!

So I'm about to wind down the window to take a photo and they say to be careful that a wave doesn't come in the window.. see that wave in the bottom right corner? Yep. Fail. But oh well. I already got completely drenched before that when we were standing near the lighthouse looking at dolphins and birds and waves >.>

Showers.

So I finally asked how to use the shower properly.. after I electricuted myself >_> you know, four months of not knowing how to make it hotter.. The shower in my first host family had three heat settings.. so that was okay.. but it was sometimes still cold when it was on the hottest setting.. so you turn the tap on more right? No. Wrong. Very wrong. The shower in Laguna had a heat setting too, so I go to turn it up and BAM electric shock. Cowering down in a cold shower as far away from the shower head as possible.. avoided having another shower til I got home.. I was scared :| Tip of the day: the less you turn the water on.. the hotter it is. Well done Luci, well done. Note to self: don't be scared to ask perfectly reasonable questions. >_<

Try having a brasilian grandma O_O hah, nah she was cool. But just got offended so easily if I didn't want to eat something.. I was just gathering up the confidence to say I don't like something.. fail. It's gone again.. Talking about grandmas.. yes. That. Maybe you heard maybe you didn't. RIP Nanny <3 :(

Hmm.. it's been a while.. you all thought I got kidnapped right? I hope you were somewhat worried -.- But no. I've been busy.. and also lazy. So.. Oh god.. I have to think now. The move in went well, my host family is awesome. Got a 16 year old brother, Giovanni, and a 14 year old sister, Bianca. Real nice people :)

All last week in school was the Olichamp games.. school sports. Pwned some people in soccer, handball and volleyball. Not really. I think we actually lost every game :| I guess that's because the girls are scared of balls :/ On wednesday there was a talent show going on while the games were on aswell. I sat and watched that all day. People just played music.. kinda good :P

Thursday was a holiday for... I don't know.. But my host family took me to Laguna beach to stay with my host mums parents for the weekend. SO COLD! And windy.. wow. Will put pictures up.. one day.. when I can be bothered.. Went to this religious party thing thats older than Australia haha. Drank "pinao" I think that's how you spell it. But need a sqiggle.. like this ~ over the a. Not really the point. It tasted like hot sweet wine.. odd. Then the next day drove around the Laguna looking at things and feeling touristy, went to the top of a mountain and looked at the whole city in one eye shot. and also looked at a biiiiig statue, of a lady.. Not as big as the one in Rio, but still big. Next day.. Saturday.. chilled and walked around for ages with Bia and 3 of her friends. Got icecream.. :| Took pictures. Went back to the house, msn/facebook = crap news :(
Went to this bar with my host parents and Bia called "Absinto" meaning absinth. Was crazy there.. and there was this amazing guy who could sing like. Woah. Like nothing I've ever heard before. Too good. He should be famous. Singing opera as easy as I dunno, something real easy.. like washing your hands or something. Really. WAY GOOD !
Then we had to leave and he pulled me up onto the stage and he's like "We've got an AUSTRAAAALIAAN HERE!!!!!!!" so embarrasing >.> But totally got a cheer :D Yep, then went to Bia's friends house, watched some tv, ate some brasilian fruit.. saw a fight break out between like 10 people on the street :| then went back to the house and slept. And woke up 4 hours late >.> To go back to Jaragua, have lunch with my host dads family and go hanglyding. wait.. WHAT HANGLYDING?! Too good to be true. Yeah... fail.. I didn't actually get to go hanglyding, or paraglyding.. which is what I meant in the first place. I needed mum and dads permission.. but didn't wanna ring them at 3am :( BUT BUT BUT, I IS GOING ON THE 12TH?!!! Are you jealous? Cause you shuold be :D awwww YEAAHHHHHH! So, I went in the car up the mountain with Bia to watch her jump off a cliff.. jeez that sounds bad. Jump off a cliff and FLY!! :D That was damn cool, the mountain was so hard to get up though. Ridiculously bumpy and stuff, it was awesome though. Mountain/trees. Looked just like home (if it has been a tar road that is) :) We got to stand in the back of the ute while they drove up, so fun :) Thought I'd go in the back again on the way back down.. but every person that came with us jumped off >.> except one lady. And she drove back down. I'm telling you.. any woman that can drive down that road is a hero! there's like meter deep holes you have to go through and meter high rocks you have to go over.. hard to explain.. and only a little exaggerated. But really. :| I will take pictures next time. My back actually hurt from going in the car back down.. sucked..

ANYWAY, Monday. If you were a person I think I'd punch you in the face. Really, I don't like you at all -.- School today... lame. I'm starting to realise how much more portuguese I speak at school though, because my main friend who I hang/talk with doesn't speak much english, cool hey :)
